BankAtlantic Center is an 872,000 square-foot facility which will seat 19,250 for hockey and 20,000 for basketball, family shows and concerts. There are 74 private suites, two party suites, eight co-op suites, two skyview terraces and 2,236 club seats. The Center's 135-acre site will be accessible from the Sawgrass Expressway by a new interchange, and will provide 7,600 on-site parking spaces, including 226 spaces that are enclosed.

History of The Center
The search for a new arena began in 1993, when H.Wayne Huizenga obtained the new franchise for the Florida Panthers Hockey Team. The search process became a fast-track development strategy when the site in Sunrise, Florida was selected in June, 1996. See the step-by-step building process in our History area.
